Security and Password Settings

The Security tab is where you manage your password, enable two-factor authentication, and delete your account if needed. This guide explains each security option.

Getting to Security Settings


  1. Go to your Account Settings
  2. Click or tap the "Security" tab

Updating Your Password

To change your password:

  1. Click or tap "Update Password"
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter your new password
  4. Confirm your new password
  5. Click or tap "Save"

Choose a strong password that:

  • Is at least 8 characters long
  • Includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Is not used for other accounts

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled, you'll need both your password and a code from an authenticator app to log in.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Click or tap "Enable 2FA"
  2. Download an authenticator app if you don't have one (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy)
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  4. Enter the code from your authenticator app to confirm

Disabling 2FA

If you need to turn off two-factor authentication:

  1. Click or tap the option to disable 2FA
  2. Enter a code from your authenticator app to confirm
  3. Confirm that you want to disable 2FA

Deleting Your Account

If you no longer need your Watchtower account, you can permanently delete it.

WarningWARNING: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. This will remove your access to all properties and communities.

To delete your account:

  1. Click or tap "Delete Account"
  2. Read the warning message carefully
  3. Confirm that you want to delete your account

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you delete your account:

  • Your personal information (name, email, phone) will be permanently anonymized
  • You will lose access to all properties and communities
  • It may take up to 30 days for your information to be fully removed from our systems
  • It may take up to 180 days for your information to be removed from all backups

If you own or manage properties, make sure to transfer ownership or remove yourself properly before deleting your account.
