Managing Restricted Guests and Vendors

Managing Restricted Guests and Vendors

The Restricted tab is where you can view and manage people who are not allowed to enter your community. You can restrict both guests (visitors) and vendors (businesses or delivery services). This guide explains how to use the restricted list.

Getting to the Restricted Tab

  1. Go to your Property page
  2. Click or tap the "Restricted" tab

You'll see a list of all restricted guests and vendors for your property. Each entry shows a red "DENY" badge indicating they are blocked from entry.

Why Restrict Someone?

You might want to restrict a guest or vendor for reasons like:

  • A former service provider you no longer want on your property
  • Someone who caused problems during a previous visit
  • A person you don't want to have access to your home

When someone is on your restricted list, gate staff will be alerted and can deny them entry.

Adding a Restricted Guest or Vendor

  1. Click or tap "Restrict Guest"
  2. Choose the type:
    • Visitor – A friend, relative, or individual person
    • Vendor – A business or delivery service
  3. Click or tap "Next"
  4. Fill in the details:
    • For visitors: First Name, Last Name, and Notes (optional)
    • For vendors: Vendor name and Notes (optional)
  5. Click or tap "Submit"

The person or business will now appear on your restricted list and will be denied entry at the gate.

Editing a Restricted Entry

To edit a restricted guest or vendor:

  1. Click or tap on their name in the list
  2. Update the information as needed
  3. To remove the restriction, uncheck "Restricted Guest" or "Restricted Vendor"
  4. Click or tap "Save"

Removing Someone from the Restricted List

To remove a restriction and allow entry again:

  1. Find the person in your restricted list
  2. Click or tap the trash can icon next to their name
  3. Confirm the deletion

Once removed, they will no longer be blocked from entering your community.

Another Way to Restrict Someone

You can also restrict an existing guest or vendor from their edit screen:

  1. Go to the Guests or Vendors tab
  2. Click or tap on the person's name
  3. Check the "Restricted Guest" or "Restricted Vendor" box
  4. Click or tap "Save"

They will now appear on your Restricted list and be denied entry.
