Managing Notifications

The Notifications tab is where you control how Watchtower sends you alerts and updates. This guide explains your notification options and how to change them.

Getting to Notifications


  1. Go to your Account Settings
  2. Click or tap the "Notifications" tab

Notification Types

Watchtower offers three types of notifications:

Email Notifications

Email notifications are enabled by default. When turned on, you'll receive emails about important activity at your property, such as guest entries.

To toggle email notifications:

  1. Click or tap the switch next to "Email notifications"
  2. Click or tap "Save"

Push Notifications

Push notifications appear on your phone or tablet, even when you're not using the app. These are enabled by default.

To toggle push notifications:

  1. Click or tap the switch next to "Push notifications"
  2. Click or tap "Save"

InfoINFO: For push notifications to work, you must have the Watchtower app installed on your device and allow notifications in your device settings. On iPhone, go to Settings > Watchtower > Notifications. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Watchtower > Notifications.

SMS Notifications

SMS notifications would send text messages to your phone number.

InfoINFO: SMS notifications cannot be enabled at this time. This feature may be available in the future.

We recommend keeping email and push notifications enabled so you stay informed about:

  • Guest and vendor entries at your property
  • Important updates from your community
  • Security alerts

You can always adjust these settings if you find you're receiving too many notifications.
