Managing QR Codes

Managing QR Codes

The QR Codes tab shows all QR codes assigned to people on your property. QR codes give guests and vendors an easy way to enter your community by scanning at the gate. This guide explains how to view and manage your QR codes.

Getting to the QR Codes Tab

  1. Go to your Property page
  2. Click or tap the "QR Codes" tab

You'll see a list of all active QR codes for your property.

What Are QR Codes For?

QR codes make entry easier for your guests and vendors. Instead of waiting for gate staff to verify their identity, they can simply scan their QR code at the gate for quick access.

Each QR code is linked to a specific person and has rules about how many times it can be used.

Creating a New QR Code

  1. Click or tap "Create QR Code"
  2. Choose who the QR code is for:
    • Select from your existing users, residents, guests, or vendors
  3. Set the QR code options:
    • One-time use – The code works for a single entry only
    • Limited uses – The code works for a set number of entries
    • Unlimited uses (within date range) – The code works for unlimited entries between specific dates
  4. Click or tap "Create"

You can also create QR codes when adding or editing a guest or vendor.

Viewing QR Codes

The QR Codes tab shows all active QR codes for your property. Each entry displays:

  • The name of the person the QR code belongs to
  • The type (User, Resident, Guest, or Vendor)
  • Usage information

Deleting a QR Code

To remove a QR code:

  1. Find the QR code in your list
  2. Click or tap the trash can icon next to it
  3. Confirm the deletion

Once deleted, the QR code will no longer work for entry.

Sharing QR Codes

After creating a QR code, you can share it with your guest or vendor so they can use it at the gate. They can display the QR code on their phone for scanning.

Some communities have QR codes turned off. If you don't see the QR Codes tab or the option to create QR codes, contact your community's management office for more information.
