How to Find Properties and Residents in Mission Control

How to Find Properties and Residents in Mission Control

As a gate attendant, your first step when a visitor arrives is to verify whom they are visiting. Mission Control’s search tools make it easy to locate properties and identify residents, guests or vendors. Follow these steps to quickly find the right information.

1 – Open Mission Control

Mission Control is the main workspace for processing visitors. Access it from:

  • The Dashboard – Click Enter Mission Control in the property header.

  • The navigation bar – Click the grid icon (four small squares) on the left side of any page.

2 – Search for a Property

  1. In the Property Search bar, begin typing the house number, street name or full address provided by the visitor.

  2. Matching properties appear below the search bar. Select the correct address. The row will highlight, and additional panels populate.

  3. If the property is not found, confirm the spelling and that the visitor is at the correct gate. You may also ask the visitor for more information or contact a priority contact (see related article).

  4. To clear your selection, click the Clear icon inside the search bar and start over.

Once a property is selected, the Name Search panel and Priority Contacts panel become active.

3 – Search for a Person

  1. In the Name Search field, type the first or last name of the person the visitor is asking for. As you type, matching names associated with the selected property appear.

  2. Each result includes a status tag:

    • Resident – Permanent occupant of the property.

    • Guest – Temporary visitor registered by a resident.

    • Vendor – Service provider authorized for this property.

    • Restricted – A person denied access; verify with management before allowing entry.

  3. Click the person’s name to select them. Their information will be used later when recording the entry.

  4. If the person does not appear, confirm that you have selected the correct property. You can also click New Visitor to create a record for someone not yet in the system (see “How to add a guest or vendor at the gate”).

Tips for Efficient Searches

  • Use the full legal name when possible. Nicknames and misspellings can prevent matches.

  • If multiple people share the same last name, confirm the first name or initial to avoid selecting the wrong individual.

  • For condos or multi‑unit dwellings, double‑check the unit number. Each unit may appear separately in the property search.

  • Use the Scan ID feature to enter the visitor's full name and to initiate a name search.

By mastering the property and name search tools, you’ll reduce wait times at the gate and ensure visitors are processed accurately. For instructions on adding visitors who are not in the system, continue to the next article.
